During the Holy Sanctuary Service of November 9, 2025, President Patience shared this message. He noted prior to reading the message that he had been praying and listening to see if the Spirit would share a message for the church. He had also been reviewing previous messages and scriptures.
Brother Patience began his thoughts by sharing his testimony regarding a visit to First Branch prior to affiliating with the Remnant Church. In 2007, he and Cindy were visiting the Remnant Church and while sitting in the sanctuary before the service started, he randomly opened his Book of Mormon to the 5th chapter of Alma and starting with the 32 verse. The message of the scripture was a testimony that he and Cindy were on the right path as they considered joining the Remnant Church. The scripture was shared with the congregation during the November 9th service as a message to the church that the Remnant Church is on the right path.
Brother Patience noted that before today’s service, he found a quiet place in his home and again began to listen for any message that might be brought to the people later that afternoon. These words were given and shared during the service:
1a. You my people have not yet responded to me as you ought. You continue to live your mortality as if it would never end. You do not choose to walk in celestial paths. You continue to serve the world around you and do those things the world considers important. You continue to place your trust in its systems and activities which seek to serve self and not others. The world lacks charity and the pure love as I have as your Savior and refuge.
b. Consider how you feel and relate to each other compared to how I feel about you and all that is around you. Your Father and I cherish each soul beyond your comprehension, The Father and I have done everything for you, and we will continue to serve and provide for you.
c. The path of righteousness is first to accept the atonement for yourself and then for you to serve in love those that are around you.
2a. Many of you have been given a surplus which enables you to provide for others and the church. Do not forget this aspect of the gospel. The world has enough resources for all, but it needs to be shared freely.
3a. Many of you have gone through or are in the despair of physical, mental, and other aspects of life that are discouraging. It often is difficult to understand why. But the bodies we have been given exist in a world that decays and people during this mortal existence make choices that are painful.
b. You and all of mankind have been asked to put your trust in the Father and the Son and to continue to have hope. Continue to keep your testimony strong and strive to endure to the end, even keeping in mind the goal of your life is to be with me.
c. Remember the words of Alma (5:21-23); “He will take on the pain and sickness of His people…their infirmities.” I your Savior will have mercy on those who call upon me.
4a. To the youngest members of my church. It pleases me to watch you continue to enjoy your play and fellowship with each other. Cherish your friends and keep them close. Keep the activities of your fellowship pure and simple for what you do now will help you grow into a more righteous and caring person.
b. Parents, hug your children tightly for someday they will be on their own and will need to remember those embraces. Other young people around them follow the actions of their parents who do not embrace the values of righteous living.
5. Again, remember the words of Alma; (5:39) be humble, be submissive, gentle, patient, and long suffering, and be diligent in keeping the commandments.
Respectfully submitted,

Terry W. Patience
