The Remnant Record 2018 - Volume 1

The Geneseo, Illinois, reunion was held from July 21st–28th with a large turnout from both Remnant and Restoration members. The campground is a large, square, level area surrounded by white pines and other trees, boasting several buildings within the perimeter of the trees. The church is on the northeast portion of the area, with a fellowship building on the west side where classes were held and the evening canteen was located. The lodge and cabins just south of this fellowship building were filled with campers, and the west trailer parking area to the north was filled with trailers pulled there from various parts of the country.

Services were held in the church sanctuary, and meals were provided in the church basement. The youth fellowshipped constantly in the recreation area when not in class, with many becoming close friends that continued to correspond after the reunion ended. The youth also enjoyed recreation with a hayride followed by the navigation of a corn maze, and on another afternoon traveled to a swimming pool for a cool dip.

The first service for the reunion featured a youth music group from Michigan that presented a program of singing. This was followed on Sunday morning with a prayer service and then preaching by Apostle Mark Deitrick.
Various other men preached in the evenings or presided at the morning prayer services. Ministry of music was provided by several individuals, a reunion choir, and by the Noland family; and several pianists also provided accompaniment for these singers and the services.

Seventy Jim Noland and Patriarch Ralph Damon provided adult classes on the weekday mornings and afternoons. Meanwhile, classes for the large number of youth were held in various buildings around the campground.

Finally, there was a baptismal service on the last Saturday morning just prior to the closing prayer service, at which words of counsel were given by Brother Damon. Following a quick lunch, the campers hit the road, completing a successful and renewing reunion.
