Andrew Christopher Kevin Romer was born in August 1984 in Illinois and was baptized on March 27, 1994 by his Grandfather Elder Bruce E. Romer and confirmed the same day by his Grandfather Elder Bruce E. Romer assisted by Elder Richard King in Orlando, Florida. His parents are Aaronic High Priest and Presiding Bishop W. Kevin Romer and Lois S.F. Romer. He is a fourth-generation member of the Church on his father’s side, with his great grandfather Elder Orrin Romer (deceased) being a convert to the RLDS Church in the 1920s; on his mother’s side the family goes back to the Nauvoo days.

In August 2008, Andrew married Megan M. Harrison. They have four young children, Natalie, W. Kevin and J. Daniel and Amy. Brother Romer attended Park University, graduating Cum Laude from Park in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration with a major in management. He later earned an M.B.A. at Rockhurst University, graduating in 2011. He currently works for a health-care information technology company in Kansas City and has been there for 14 years holding various positions. Brother Romer was ordained a Priest in 2003, an Elder in 2010, a High Priest and Bishop in 2016 and was set apart at the April 2017 General Conference as a counselor to his Father in the Presiding Bishopric.
