Is there an age requirement for volunteering?

We need our kitchen help to be at least 12 years old to ensure safe food preparation, but supervised children are welcome to help with other duties, such as assisting in the food pantry or serving area. An outline of our duties is found here. 

What hours/days of the week do you need volunteers?

We operate Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Most volunteers serve on those days from 7:00am to 1:30pm. Occasionally, we have needs that extend beyond those days for things like special projects, area deep cleaning, or taking inventory. Feel free to contact us and we'll find somewhere you can help!

How do I find you?

We are located at 700 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64050. This is on the south side of the building. There is a small paved parking lot for Volunteers and Church Staff with stairs to access the Lunch Partners area from that lot. Street parking is also available. 

Is there a way I can help even if I can't volunteer?

Absolutely. Here are a few ways:

Are groups welcome to volunteer together?

Yes! Many hands make for light work, and we believe the impact your group will make will be felt by all — those we serve and those with whom we serve.
