Our History

Started in 1991, Lunch Partners has been serving individuals in the Independence, Missouri area weekly for over 30 years!

We have been blessed to have many business donors who share from their abundance, as well as individual volunteers, school groups, and many churches who have generously given of their time to keep our program running.

Lunch Partners is a free service that feeds and clothes the needy in Independence, Missouri from the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Headquarters Building, located in the Historic William Chrisman High School Building in downtown Independence, Missouri.

Lunch Partners is a community service that serves men, women, and children of our community, including the working poor, single-parent families, senior citizens, and disabled individuals of all ages.

Lunch Partners

Monday, Wednesday & Friday
11:30am - 1:00pm

Weekly meal service for Independence, MO needy or struggling individuals. Open year-round with some weather and holiday exceptions.

Food Pantry

Fridays
10:30am - 12:30pm

Provides a bag of shelf-stable items for individuals in Independence, MO struggling with food scarcity. Individuals/Families requesting this service should sign-up during Lunch Partners.

Clothes Closet

Fridays
10:30am - 12:30pm

Offers clothing from newborn to adult for all seasons of the year. Individuals in need of clothing may sign-up during Lunch Partners for an appointment in the Clothes Closet for the following week. ID requested.
