The annual gathering of the priesthood and women of the Church will be held the weekend of October 7-9, 2016, at the Gathering Place located in Independence, Missouri. We encourage all priesthood members and women of the Remnant Church to make an effort to attend the weekend’s activities. Advance registration is $20 per person, payable by September 23rd, or $25 on site (fee includes food, facility usage, and materials). Please return the appropriate registration form (or a copy), found on page 33 of this issue, to Church Headquarters as soon as possible to assist in the necessary planning for space, meals, etc. Babysitting will be provided.

There will be a Men’s Retreat the weekend of November 11-13, 2016, which will follow the theme, “Keep Our Paths Open.” High Priest John Atkins is the retreat director. It will be held at the Blackgum Campground in Oklahoma. The retreat begins Friday evening, November 11th and concludes Sunday morning, November 13th. All are invited to attend services with the Blackgum Branch after we break camp Sunday morning if your travel plans permit. We invite and encourage all men who are members or friends of the Church to attend. Blackgum Campground features a heated lodge and meeting facilities, so we will be comfortable regardless of the weather. Cost for the weekend is $25 and includes food, facility usage, and materials. Volunteers are being requested to assist with meal preparation. Also, if you have an idea for a class, and would like to teach, please contact Brother Atkins. To register, volunteer, or for additional information, please contact Brother John Atkins at, or call him at 479-621-3781.

The photos displayed on the cover of The Hastening Times were taken by President Ralph Damon.  They include (clockwise, from the top) two young children from the mission in Nyamesocho, Kenya; Vova Drabinin of Minsk, Belarus; a “blessing” being given to Brother Damon; and a symbol of freedom from occupation in front of the World War II Memorial in Minsk, Belarus.

A set of two DVDs of the play presented at the recent General Conference is now available. Experience the story of faith, sacrifice, and joy as a fledgling Church unifies to do the will of the Lord to build the House of the Lord! Please use the order form (or a copy) found on page 32.

The new children’s hymnal, Songs for Children and Youth, was introduced at this year’s General Conference and highlighted in the last issue of The Hastening Times. To order copies please contact the Remnant Church Headquarters at (816) 461-7215.
