Fundamentos da plenitude do evangelho<\/h2>\n

O segundo componente de um esfor\u00e7o<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quando jovem na Igreja nos anos 80, lembro-me do sacerd\u00f3cio lutando para descrever a \u201cplenitude do evangelho\u201d. \u00c0 medida que fui ficando mais velho e os ramos da Restaura\u00e7\u00e3o se formaram, as explica\u00e7\u00f5es do que significava a plenitude do evangelho tornaram-se mais variadas e um tanto nebulosas. O sacerd\u00f3cio simplesmente n\u00e3o podia quantificar a plenitude do evangelho. H\u00e1 alguns de n\u00f3s que podem pensar em quando vimos amigos e entes queridos deixarem a f\u00e9 e se juntarem a outras religi\u00f5es que ensinavam apenas uma pequena parte da verdade. Parecia inconceb\u00edvel para mim que algu\u00e9m pudesse filiar-se a outra igreja, denunciar o Livro de M\u00f3rmon e Doutrina e Conv\u00eanios e acreditar em doutrinas como \u201cUma vez salvo, sempre salvo\u201d, \u201cDoutrina da Elei\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d ou que um homem pudesse perdoar seus pecados.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Foi quando comecei a criar um curr\u00edculo escolar abrangente da igreja que percebi que uma das principais raz\u00f5es pelas quais est\u00e1vamos perdendo nossos jovens adultos era a falta de conhecimento e compreens\u00e3o da f\u00e9. Quando pensei em todas essas experi\u00eancias, percebi que a maioria das perdas se devia \u00e0 falta de compreens\u00e3o da plenitude do evangelho eterno. Desde aquela \u00e9poca, eu me comprometi a estudar e documentar o mais cuidadosamente poss\u00edvel uma defini\u00e7\u00e3o clara da plenitude para que n\u00e3o haja d\u00favidas nas mentes dos santos quanto a esta doutrina maravilhosa que salva vidas.<\/p>\n

No in\u00edcio da Igreja Remanescente, recebemos orienta\u00e7\u00e3o prof\u00e9tica sobre a plenitude do evangelho. \u201cO Esp\u00edrito diz ainda: \u2018Continue, meu fiel remanescente, no esp\u00edrito de unidade, a fortalecer sua f\u00e9, a espalhar o amor de Cristo a um mundo enfermo de pecado, a estudar para entender a plenitude do meu evangelho, e se voc\u00ea fazer, voc\u00ea ser\u00e1 aben\u00e7oado al\u00e9m da medida. O reino de Deus aguarda sua resposta. Prepare-se para o Noivo. Um homem"<\/strong><\/em> (D&C R-145:7a-b).<\/p>\n

Esta revela\u00e7\u00e3o de Deus deve emocionar todo santo por causa da promessa: \u201cEstude para entender a plenitude do meu evangelho e, se o fizer, ser\u00e1 aben\u00e7oado al\u00e9m da medida\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (enfase adicionada). Quem n\u00e3o quer ser aben\u00e7oado al\u00e9m da medida?<\/p>\n

Nossa declara\u00e7\u00e3o de miss\u00e3o afirma que a compreens\u00e3o da plenitude \u00e9 um precursor para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do reino: \u201cA Igreja Remanescente de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos \u00daltimos Dias foi chamada \u00e0 renova\u00e7\u00e3o para pregai a plenitude do evangelho de Jesus Cristo a todos os que quiserem ouvir<\/span>, e preparar e reunir um povo justo para a edifica\u00e7\u00e3o do Reino de Deus na terra, Si\u00e3o\u201d (grifo nosso).<\/p>\n

Reunir e preparar um povo justo exige que sigamos os mandamentos dados, que nos lembremos da B\u00edblia e do Livro de M\u00f3rmon, que cont\u00eam a plenitude do evangelho eterno (ver D&C 42:5a), e que \u201cobservar\u00e3o os conv\u00eanios e artigos da igreja \u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (D&C 42:5b).<\/p>\n

N\u00e3o podemos ensinar justi\u00e7a se n\u00e3o formos justos. H\u00e1 um n\u00edvel de humildade e santidade necess\u00e1rio, n\u00e3o apenas em nossas vidas, mas nas vidas daqueles que lideramos e daqueles que nos re\u00fanem. Ao estudar e tentar viver a plenitude, podemos come\u00e7ar a alcan\u00e7ar um n\u00edvel de compromisso que nos ajuda a encontrar o caminho para sair da Babil\u00f4nia, elevar-nos acima do mundo secular e santificar-nos.<\/p>\n

Ent\u00e3o, simplesmente, qual \u00e9 a plenitude do evangelho? Alguns dos primeiros princ\u00edpios da doutrina da salva\u00e7\u00e3o podem ser encontrados em quase todas as religi\u00f5es do s\u00e9culo XIX. Eles s\u00e3o, claro, f\u00e9, arrependimento, batismo, imposi\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00e3os, ressurrei\u00e7\u00e3o dos mortos e julgamento eterno. No entanto, a compreens\u00e3o desses princ\u00edpios e a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o deles s\u00e3o amplamente mal compreendidas. \u00c9 aqui que a plenitude do evangelho restaura a \u201ccoisas simples e preciosas\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (1 N\u00e9fi 3:171) que estavam faltando naquela \u00e9poca e acrescenta mais luz a esses princ\u00edpios, tanto ausentes quanto n\u00e3o ausentes.<\/p>\n

A plenitude do evangelho se refere \u00e0 doutrina da reden\u00e7\u00e3o ensinada por Jesus Cristo, nosso mediador. Essa doutrina nos capacita a obter vida para a salva\u00e7\u00e3o que nos traz de volta \u00e0 presen\u00e7a de Deus para vivermos como cidad\u00e3os do reino. Consiste nos conv\u00eanios, leis, doutrinas, ordenan\u00e7as, obras sagradas e sacrif\u00edcio de todas as coisas necess\u00e1rias para realizar essa salva\u00e7\u00e3o. As escrituras fundamentais para a plenitude do evangelho est\u00e3o contidas em Hebreus 6:1-2. No entanto, a explica\u00e7\u00e3o disso requer o Livro de M\u00f3rmon e Doutrina e Conv\u00eanios. Como prova da plenitude do evangelho, nenhum de seus seis princ\u00edpios, se definido corretamente, pode mudar os atributos de Deus.<\/p>\n
